What does it mean to be “progressive” and Jewish today? From Socialist summer camp to The Western Wall to the Separation Barrier in the West Bank, A Jerusalem Between Us follows one man as he considers the moral questions surrounding a love for Israel. The play considers the word “apartheid”, reflects on the spirit of Jewish values and wonders what’s left of the Left. Walking a tightrope over the politically charged cauldron of the Middle East, one performer gives life to characters from America, Israel and Palestine. These people are at the same time funny, insightful and heartfelt as they reflect on some of the most provocative issues of our time.
